Her World Cup season is on full go

The champion skier flys from snow to snow

Winning many, losing some

Training daily, faraway places

But back home you’ll always have

Fun times with friends

Red and blue gates, they sometimes look the same

Some people seem to forget her other life

No one sees the hours in the gym

There are no short cuts to her wins

But back home you’ll always have

Good times with friends

When the very early morning comes

She’s out the door and always on the run

First the work-out and then the rest

It probably seems like it never really ends

Grab your gear girl, cause now it’s off to race again

World Cup she's not through with you yet

Maybe at 63 wins, she might just be content

She still has one or two more Olympics in her mind

And more World Championships will come with time

But back home you’ll always have
